ABOUT

The Story Behind the Flavor

Kevin Jenkins learned to cook before he learned to lead.

The order matters.

A man wearing a black cap with white text that says "YES CHEF" and a white jacket with embroidered name and titles, smiling, with kitchen equipment and cabinets in the background.

Growing up in St. Petersburg, Florida, flavor wasn't an idea—it was the smell of his father's barbecue and the comfort of his grandmother's soul-inspired cooking. Those early moments showed him that food has a way of bringing people together long before anyone steps into a professional kitchen.

The United States Navy took that lesson even further.

A group of four people in a professional kitchen, preparing food. The man in the foreground wears a blue shirt, black cap, and gloves, and is chopping nuts. Next to him, a woman in glasses and a beige sweater looks down at her work. Behind them, two men, one in a chef's coat and the other in casual attire, are also working. There is a stainless steel stove, kitchen utensils, and ingredients on the counters.

Military Service & Commitment

Kevin's service in the United States Navy shaped the way he leads, serves, and approaches every opportunity to make a difference. While his work today centers on culinary consulting, education, leadership, and industry partnerships, the values he developed through military service continue to guide his work every day.

That spirit of service remains at the heart of how he leads, mentors, and supports the people and communities he has the privilege to work with.
